I had always thought that Mary's husband was a medical doctor until I discovered his obituary in the Tennessean archives.  That's the reason the photo below identifies him as a doctor.  His full name is John Dewey Bledsoe and he and Mary wed in Nashville in 1941.  He died from a stomach ulcer bleeding out while in St. Thomas Hospital.

Daughter of Henry Bernard Feldhaus Jr. and Mary Ann Schneider
Born:        Lawrenceburg, TN on 16 December , 1890
Married:   John D. Bledsoe 12 May 1941
Died:        Owensboro, KY on 16 February, 1981

Mary sent the card below with a picture of her on the right and another student at St. Thomas Hospital on the left to her Aunt, Anna Feldhaus Sutter .  The card is hard to read, but I believe it contains the following:

Dear Aunt – I haven’t written to you in awhile and I hope you are alive and well.  I’m sending you one of my pictures.  I guess you know which one is me, the one on the right.  Class and lectures have begun & keep me busy studying.

Answer soon.  From your loving niece, Mary Feldhaus

Mary was the first female lab technician in Nashville.   About 1940 she married John Dewey Bledsoe who died shortly thereafter.   Mary lived on General Bate Drive off Woodmont Avenue just west of where I-65 eventually was located.

She was a frequent visitor to Lawrenceburg as I was growing up.   That's Aunt Mary on the left and Aunt Rose on the right in the picture above with the title "Mary and Rose"

She liked to drive an automobile a long time.   I remember a circa 1949 Ford coupe that she drove well into the 1960s.

After she retired, she continued to live at her home until finally she entered a Catholic retirement home in Owensboro, Kentucky.   She pased away there and was buried at the family plat in Lawrenceburg.

In this picture Mary is wearing the WWI army uniform belonging to her brother Charlie.

I have three things that belonged Aunt Mary.   Pictures of these items are shown below.
